Advises clients on corporation law and finance; corporate governance,
structures and compliance; mergers and acquisitions; project financing and debt
restructuring; exchange controls regulations; foreign investment; capital markets;
banking and finance; energy and natural resources; estate planning; and real estate
matters, among others; as well as performing pro-bono work. Key member of the team
on international sanctions, as they relate to Venezuelan law.
From 1996 to 2006, professor of World Contemporary History at Universidad
Metropolitana.
From 1984, writer of several books and articles on corporate law and history. La Sociedad Anónima, written with Manuel Acedo Mendoza (first edition Caracas 1985, reprinted in 1991, 1996, 2000) became a text book for Corporate Law, used at important Venezuelan universities, and has been quoted by other authors, and by court decisions, including the Supreme Tribunal of Justice. Author of a series of biographies of contemporary Venezuelan personalities, published by the Universidad Metropolitana, Caracas, in 1998 and 1999.
