Advises clients on corporate governance, corporate finance, exchange control regulations, M&As, private equity, capital markets, foreign investment, project financing and debt restructuring, banking and finance, life sciences, public law and regulatory matters, real estate, among others; as well as performing pro-bono work.
Co-leads the team on international sanctions, as they relate to Venezuelan law.
Professor of Legal Analysis (2011) and Human Rights Law (2012-2014), at Universidad Metropolitana Law School.
In 2014, worked for the Human Rights Unit of Universidad Metropolitana, jointly with the Human Rights Center of Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, regarding protection of human rights; and acted as consultant for Human Rights NGO.
In 2015 and 2016, worked for The Coca-Cola Company, acting as Legal Counsel for Venezuela and the Caribbean, assisting the different business areas in corporate governance, civil law, commercial law, labor law, regulatory issues, M&A, marketing and publicity, social media, exchange controls regulations, intellectual property, and ethics and compliance matters; as well as negotiating legal issues with suppliers, clients and partners.
In 2017, returned to Mendoza, Palacios, Acedo, Borjas, Páez Pumar & Cía, as Junior Partner, continuing to work on the aforementioned areas, as well as in pro-bono work.
In 2018 - 2019, Professor of Corporate Law Topics at Universidad Metropolitana Law School.
Member of the Legal Affairs Committee (Comité de Asuntos Legales) of the Venezuelan American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Venamcham).
